Sikkim, the small but beautiful kingdom is situated in the eastern Himalayas. Sikkim is termed as the Switzerland of the east, a heavenly paradise on earth. It covers an area of 2818 square miles 7325 square kilometers. It is rectangular in shape with seventy miles in the north to south and forty east to west. Geographically it is 28 Degree 07' 48'' degree and 27 degree 04' 46'' north latitude, and 88 degree 00' 58' and 88 degree 55' 25'' east longitude.
The magical lure of Sikkim has always been attracting people all over the world. Its legendry mountains, landscape that defy imagination, all culminates into a masterpiece of the Creator. But you don't have to be the holy one to taste the beauty of Sikkim.
Surrounded by the Tibetan Plateau in the North, Nepal in the West, Bhutan in the East and West Bengal along its Southern border, the awe-inspiring Kanchanjunga peaks (the third highest in the world) guard its green valleys, turquoise lakes, and crystal-clear streams and gorges.
Sikkim has a greater variety of vegetation, including 4,000 rare species of plants, than anywhere else in the world. Its fascinating flora and fauna will enchant nature lovers. In the wild gorges one will find ample opportunities for white-water rafting.
Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur (1 hr). Upon arrival transfer to Gangtok. Check in at your hotel.
Day 02: After breakfast, visit to Rumtek Monastery and Institute of Tibetology. After lunch visit to Enchey Monastery, flower show, handicraft.
Day 03: After breakfast, drive to Pemayangtse. Check in at your hotel.
Day 04: Visit Pemayangtse Monastery. After lunch walk for about 45 minutes to Shangacholing Monastery.
Day 05: After breakfast, drive to Bhadrapur airport or Phuntsoling (Bhutan border).
